Hey there! How was your weekend? Hope you had a good one! We had a very productive weekend: We made Hamantaschen for the upcoming holiday of Purim, bought some new organizational stuff for our kitchen pantry (have you heard about the Get Your Kitchen Organized Challenge my friends Katie and Sally are hosting?), stocked up on our groceries for the week ahead (was so excited to see Florida strawberries in the market!), and enjoyed some time with family and friends while we were at it!

If you haven’t heard, this week is National School Breakfast Week. Wanna make sure your kids are eating a nutritious and delicious breakfast every morning, even when you’re rushing out the door? Check out my 40+ Quick & Healthy Breakfast Recipes roundup. Friday is also National Pack Your Lunch Day, so be sure to skim through my Quick, Easy, & Healthy School Lunch Ideas and Recipes – they’re just as good for adults as they are for kids! I’ll also be sharing an easy and delicious new lunch recipe with you later this week, so stay tuned for that.

Now check out the great articles and recipes in this week’s Link Love and this week’s Menu Plan Monday below! Have a great week!

Articles:

It’s Time to Talk About {Women’s} Locker Room Talk @ Eat Real Live Well

⇒ I think we’ve all been witness to women talking about their weight and what they should or shouldn’t be eating at some point in our lives. This kind of negative body talk impacts daughters, sisters, and little girls around the world. The statistics about dieting in girls and young women (as little as 5 and 6 years old) are scary. Kelly’s post about this topic is fantastic.

March Seasonal Produce Guide @ The Domestic Dietitian

⇒ I love planning my meals based on the produce in season. If you want to do the same, here’s a great guide to all the fruits and veggies this month has to offer!

Recipes:

Crispy Baked Cara Cara Orange Tofu @ One Hungry Bunny

⇒ It’s no secret I love Cara Cara oranges and crispy baked tofu, so the two together? You bet I’m going to make this!

Homemade Sprouted Wheat Crackers @ Real Mom Nutrition

⇒ Homemade crackers sounds pretty daunting, but Sally makes it look easy, and so much better than the store-bought variety.

Savory Spinach Cauliflower Oatmeal @ The Every Kitchen

⇒ I love this savory take on a breakfast classic. A great way to get some extra veggies in first thing in the morning too! (Check out this week’s menu plan below to see the savory oatmeal I’m serving!)

Vegan Smashed Chickpea Salad @ Marisa Moore Nutrition

⇒ I’m always looking for new ideas for my girls’ lunchboxes since they can’t take meat to school. I’ve made chickpea salads for them before, but I can’t wait to try Marisa’s version. I’ll have to make enough for me to have some too!

Healthy Breakfast Banana Boats @ Physical Kitchness

⇒ I really wish I liked bananas because how awesome do these banana boats look? I’ll have to make them for one of my daughters – she’s a banana lover!

Frugal Food: Cabbage @ Nutrition to Fit

⇒ Cabbage is such a nutrient-rich vegetable, but it gets shunned compared to many other veggies. Just in time for St. Paddy’s Day, get some delicious cabbage recipes (including a couple of my own)!
